Farewell my friends...

It's been 4 years since we've been together in this college of PCCE. It's amazing how time flies by... I still remember the first day of college like it was just yeaterday. And now it is time to say goodbye! I am overcome with shock and disbelief. No this cannot be happening. I wish these 4 years would last forever. I'm sure everyone from my class will be experiencing similar feelings - sorrow and pain of departure.

The fact that we have been so close in these years makes it all the more difficult to accept the fact that it all over. In the holidays i would always miss college and my class. I shudder to think of the fact that I wont be seeing them again together- attending lectures or practicals, going out to the canteen and to Raju's for food, the class picnics, the tour... and so many other memories. This flood of memories is overcoming me at this moment and mixed feelings of sorrow and happiness- at having such a beautiful class, are wrecking my head. This is truly unbelievable. I'll miss you people, i'll miss all your pranks and the teasing and all yours jokes and the Jessssssssssss..... and the pracs and the laughter and the fun and soooo manu other things... beautiful moments i will cherish forever.

There are no words good enough to describe my class. It was a great priviledge to be a part of this class. I am thankful to God for every single person of my class and for giving us such amazing 4 years in this college. I also pray to God to give us the grace to overcome our grief and to carry on with our lives, and to always be friends forever.....

All About Nicknames... ;)

The earliest i remember of being called by a nick name was when i was around four or five years old. One of my neighbour who i fondly call uncle used to call me "Jesse Boy" and he still does whenever he comes down to Goa.
At home I was always called Jessel . Occasionely my mother used to call me "baba" whenever she wanted a favour of me. Even in nursery and Kindergarden school as far as I can remember nobody used any nickname for me.

Then in fourth standard when I won the first place at the camlin contest in the MMC Garden they announced my name as "Jesus " Rebello and from that day onwards my classmates used to tease me as Jesus. But that was for a short while. One fellow called Nurruddin always called me Jesus after that day... Even today whenever I meet him he calls me 'Jesus'.

Then in fifth or sixth std my friends tried to tease me by calling me "Vessel" but i did not get teased so easily so they gave up. In Chowgule college I was in one of the naughtiest classes in Science stream- the geography clkass. There was onje very popular hindi song called "Aslam Bhai" and I was called Jessel Bhai by everyone in class after that song. Then slowly they started calling me Bhai... I used to get irritated at first but i soon learned to take it in my stride.

In PCCE my friends used to tease me and Enola. Whenever Enola entered the class they would go like "Jesssssssssssssssss...." or simply "SSSSSsssssssssssss". And whenever I entered also they used to do the same. Teachers used to wonder what is it with the occasional hissing in class. Sagar and Joaquim were experts in this job. From then onwards my official nickname became "Jess". Besides they used to also tease me various names like eno & 'alone' which is enola spelt backwards. Anushree always calls me "Jeezu" and Shweta & Ashita call me "Jessu".

Anay & Priyesh used to call me "Jassi" after the famous Jassi jaisi koi nahi serial.
Oh gosh what a list of nicknames i have to remember!!!
Everyone calls me by a nickname... so much so that my real name is used only for official purposes.
Hahaha...

The Week that was....

This is a very hectic week... first valentines day, then 3 days of holidays.... Last sem in college is really fun. Got nothing to do in the lab so I thought of adding to my blog. Happening is just around the corner. our last Year in college... sigh. Hope we enjoy this weekend...

Right now we are busy sending heartbeats to everyone possible at the happenings site...
On Wednesday the lectures were suspended due to the death of one of the Agnel fathers... so we all went to Avelet's "farmhouse" in Cuncolim. The boys included Me, Joaquim, Gautam, Charlie, Pranav, Tony, Vijay, Sagar, Selwyn, Tamba, Tanvay ... and the girls Ave, Namru, Asita .... (Mandals in short) ... besides Nazira, Alzira, Sweety, Vrinda. We went in cars and bikes.

There was a canal near Ave's 'bhatt' which she kept calling "The CHANNEL", and she got us arguing all over what is the correct way to pronounce 'canal' .... so much so that Charlie got confused and started saying 'Kennel'. Anyways it was fun .. the canal waters were inviting for a swim. Gautam, Tony and Pranam could not resist the temptation to swim and stripped infront of the girls and jumped into the water. Sweety was greatly amused by the matching colours of Pranam's and Gautam's underwear.

Ok bye bye gotta go now for lectures....

!!! SAVE THE BLOG !!! POST SOMETHING !!!

Ok so I got a blog and I thought it would be the finest blog in the whole world. but it was not to be. I only managed 2 posts till now. So sad...

I simply dont have the patience to sit and type my thoughts... Well actually its not that I am so busy but its just that i dont have the PATIENCE. Last Year I thought of writing a book on my class tour to Shimla-Manali. I started off writing at once... It took me about a week or two to finish describing the first few days of the tour. But as I was nearing some 40 pages of text I got fed up. I didnt even reach Halfway describing the tour. But anyways I am determined to complete it.

I'm gonna post all that I have written about the Unforgettable Tour from the next post onwards... So watch out for this page in the comin weeks for my new book er.. e-book "The Tour".

Bye Bye.

The Last Sem

A few more days later out last sem will begin. Cant help thinking that five months later there will be no class. No friends too meet every morning, no missed calls to give in the lectures, no boring lectures to attend or bunk, no pracs for timepass, no canteen breaks, no pairs to make and np hearts to break, no funweek, no picnic, no tour, no classroom, no labs, no teachers, no ..... gosh I can go on and on and on.
These four years in college have been full of bitter sweet memories that will last a lifetime...

It's been a year since our first ( and sadly the last) tour of our class. But I still remember like it was yesterday. The snow in Manali, horse riding in Shimla, the pranks in the bus and the train journey, the playing of cards in the night, the campfire, the Taj Mahal, the hop in Selwyn's room and most of all the biting cold.

I will never forget that tour....
